Hello There!
How planning my $8,000 wedding turned into a passion to create affordable DIY decor and help others do it too!
When I was told the average cost for my dream rooftop wedding would be around $36,000 for 40 guests… JUST TO RESERVE THE VENUE… my brain shut down to say the least.
So I made a goal to have my dream wedding, but on a budget I felt comfortable spending.
Our venue ended up being on a rooftop of an apartment complex. NO REGRETS! It was affordable with stunning views.
Wandering the aisles of Dollar Tree, 99 Cents Store, and Goodwill became my go to for wedding decor inspirations.
There was something exciting about finding cheap items, putting them together and creating a beautiful product.
It wasn’t until I finished the fourth of six flower chandeliers, that I realized how much I enjoyed making them.
The most challenging DIY was the flower wall we used for our photo booth.
My Flower Wall to Success
A flower wall can cost in the thousands just to rent, but I managed to create a 8 x 10 ft wall for around $800 ( I have taught others how to create a flower wall for even cheaper! Learn how here.) It definitely was a show stopper and a hit with our guests!
The flower wall was such a success that family, friends, professional wedding planners and drapery companies have requested to use it for their weddings or gigs.
I believe anyone can make beautiful and affordable decor for any occasion. Want to learn how? Follow me on my blog, Facebook, Instagram,Pinterest, and YouTube to get the latest updates on my DIY crafts! Social links and contact down below!
