Decorate Wooden Blocks

Take 24 blocks and organize them into month, day, year, time, pounds and ounces.

Place alphabet stickers onto the blocks.

Spray paint blocks in a well ventilated area. Allow blocks to dry then brush on more paint on uneven areas.

Carefully remove alphabet stickers.
This step is optional. For a rustic appearance, you can keep the letters and numbers in wood.
Fill letters and numbers with paint.

Determine Number of Rows For Baby Announcement Frame
Remove backing and glass from the picture frame. Decide whether you would like your frame to be horizontal or vertical.

Arrange blocks within the frame to determine the number of rows needed.

Measure and mark the distance for each row onto the back of the frame.

Create Wire Rows

Measure the wire to the frame + 1 inch and twist two pieces together.
Make one for each row.

Thread wire into blocks

Using a hot glue gun, apply glue to adhere blocks together.

When the glue has slightly cooled, carefully wipe off excess glue.
Turn the frame and align a row of blocks to the markings.
Hot glue wire to frame to keep in place.

Allow glue to cool completely.

Trim extra wire off each end and apply more glue to seal edges.

Create Wire Names
Sketch out names in cursive.

And trace with wire.

For letters like I, Q, T, and X use E6000 glue to complete the letter.

Let glue fully dry before moving onto the next step.
Put E6000 glue onto the back of the wire name and wait about 30 seconds for the glue to become tacky.

Then place onto the baby announcement frame and allow glue to fully set, usually between 48 to 72 hours.
